It is our pleasure to announce that Taiwan Academy of TECO in New York will launch its Film Thursday program with “Adventures of Summer Vacation: Memory of our Happy Childhood”film series, which includes one animation and 2 feature films focusing on depicting Taiwan society this summer. Family attendance is highly recommended.
The series starts with the animation GRANDMA AND HER GHOSTS on August 22nd. The 1998 animation is a story full of love. A 5-year-old kid is left at his grandma's house in a small town when his mother has to go overseas. Both the kid and his grandma, the reluctant companions, will be affected by their destined acquaintance. Not only what that about Taiwan that you can recognize, in this film you can also get to understand the folk culture and beliefs in Taiwan. In addition, this film is full of humor and other interesting elements that make this film really worth watching.
