  • Date:2018-05-04

Sunday, May 13th, 2018, 8PM
Merkin Concert Hall, Kaufman Music Center (129 West 67th Street, New York, NY 10023)

Dvorak’s love for American scenery inspired him to compose String Quintet No.3. Mozart’s Piano Quartet influenced generations of composers to fashion works for this instrumentation. Likewise, Shih-Hui Chen’s Flashback Moments – a world-premiere work commissioned by NACMS, exhibits memories, inspirations, and thoughts that are unforgettable. Joined by celebrated violist Paul Neubauer, this concert will be recorded live. Hailed by New York Concert Reviews as “an impressively organized and professional group…”, NACMS delves into the giants of chamber music repertoire, cultivating new voices of contemporary composers that meld this traditional Western art with elements of Eastern cultures.
