Taipei Cultural Center is delighted to announce the winners of 2016 RU residency opportunities sponsored by the Ministry of Cultural, Republic of China (Taiwan): Chiang Kai-chun and Wang Cheng-sean.
RU supports the creation, presentation and dissemination of contemporary art through its unique residency program and year-round public programs. The organization forges strategic partnerships with collaborating institutions to offer customized residencies designed to meet the individual needs of participating artists and curators.
Selected out of 20 submissions, Chiang specializes in animation, video art and photography, while Wang focuses on photography. The two winners are set to come to New York to participate in the program from August through November this year. A joint exhibition will be held in late November to showcase international artists’ works during their residency at RU.
