InTW - 52Hertz (work in progress showing)

  • Date:2015-05-08

Join CUNY Dance Initiative residency artists InTW for an informal showing of their new work, 52 Hertz. InTW creates thoughtful, poetic and ambitious dance productions that transpose human themes into choreography.

InTW was formed in 2013 by twin sisters from Taiwan, Hsiao-Wei Hsieh and Hsiao-Ting Hsieh. Their dance language is rooted in Taiwanese culture, modern dance, Rudolf Laban movement analysis and their fascination with storytelling.

52 Hertz is inspired by an article the sisters read in a science journal about a lonely whale that communicates at the unusual frequency of 52 hertz.
