ANARCHY'S DREAM

The Anarchy series started from the year 2008. Chieh-hua Hsieh has been trying to discover a new body vocabulary through instability: through turning, twisting, stretching and transformation, along with a constant shifting of weight and momentum, through which Hsieh has created new possibilities for bodies in time and in space. Furthermore, he has represented the ambiguity and complexity of human relationships, revealing the unvarnished truth of eternal instability. Under the dual background of Architecture and Dance, Hsieh's work displays exceptional creativity, space conception and character. The Anarchy series delineate the suppression and agitation of real society.

Chieh-Hua Hsieh graduated with MFA in Dance Choreography from Taipei National University of the Arts in 2007. The background with a BA degree in Architecture from National Cheng-Kung University presented him a special way in his creative works. Hsieh's choreography credits include Anarchy's Dream (2009), Anarchy 1980 (2008), Anarchy (2008), Gray Mass (2006), Falling Kiss (2006). The Falling Kiss placed him as one of the most outstanding choreographers in the 2008 National Creative Dance Competition sponsored by the Council for Cultural Affairs, Taiwan. Hsieh's work ?lled with clear structure, meaningful inspiration and creative way of playing with time, space and energy. He has been teaching in Drama and Dance department of Colorado College in 2009-2010.
