THE 38th WORLD SCHOOLCHILDREN'S ART EXHIBITION

Purpose:

The purpose of the exhibition is to promote mutual understanding and friendship amongst the younger generation of the world through the exchange of children's art works.

Organizers:

The Association for Education through Art, Republic of China (Taiwan); and the Association of Formative Art Education for the Republic of China (Taiwan).

Qualifications for participants:

Primary and elementary schoolchildren between the ages of 6-15 years old.

Art works:

Mediums

Varieties: Oil paintings, water color paintings, wood cut prints, pencil sketches, crayon drawings and pastel, collages, etchings, graphic design, etc.

Size: Within 55cm X 40cm

Number of entries

Each participating country may submit more than one entry. All entries must include the following information in English:

Full name of the participant
Date and place of birth
Sex and nationality
Name and address of the school or institution

Please attach all identification labels on the back of the artwork. All submitted artwork will not be returned.

Deadline:

Entries must reach the Association for Education through Art, the Republic of China no later than April 26, 2007.

Exchange of artwork

Participants should submit a request if they would like to participate in the exchange of artwork with Chinese students.

Committee of judges:

Chinese artists, educators, child psychologists, and art educators in the Republic of China will be invited to serve as judges on the committee.

Prizes:

Based on the recommendations of the Committee of Judges, certificates and medals will be awarded to the selected participants whose works show outstanding excellence.

Please make a list of the participants in the form supplied by the 38th World Children's Art Exhibition and attach it to the participating works.

For research purposes on children's art education worldwide, please provide a copy of your strategic plans for art lessons, teaching guides, art curricula or new methods of art education.
