Assembly Dance Theater
Choreography by Kuei-Chuan Yang

The Assembly Dance Theatre was founded by the artistic director Kuei-Chuan Yang in1993. Ms. Yang has renovated her dance vocabulary via an "assembly" approach whether the dance vocabulary is a combination of west/east or old/new. Thus the Assembly Dance Theatre is characterized by a cornerstone composed of indigenous cultural philosophy and its idea to assemble outstanding choreographers to create the worldwide dance language. For the past 15 years, the ADT has presented 140 performances in Taiwan and foreign cities, such as New York and Edinburgh. Many acclaims come for their meaningful and excellent performances. The Village Voice (New York) said, "Kuei-Chuan Yang swept into the country with her Assembly Dance Theater of Taiwan, redefining our assumptions of "modern" ?choreographer Yang, whose maneuvers are serene while daredevil-athletic, Eastern in a uniquely Western way."

?Drop and Fall? is a piece that specifies in using the diversified movements of drop and fall for transmitting interpersonal estrangement, and strengthens brutality of human nature of life.
