2012 Taiwan Rising Stars Classical Music Concert Series, through Taiwan Academy, presents professional solo and chamber music concerts to audiences in New York City. Concerts are presented monthly by young concert artists of Taiwanese descent, featuring traditional classical pieces, unconventional new works, as well as tunes heard in Taiwan. The mission is to reach out to NYC communities to share those thrilling musical talents, and to connect people from all walks of life through music. In this inaugural season, the Concert Series presents premier young Taiwanese artists selected from leading performing classical musicians, on April 25, May 23 and June 29.
The debut performance on April 25 will be presented by New Asia Chamber Music Society (NACMS), members performing includes violinists Tien-Hsin, Cindy Wu, Kevin Shue, violist Andy Lin, cellist Nan-Cheng Chen, Jung-Hsuan Ko and pianist Helen Huang. Recently acclaimed by New York Concert Review as ?gifted players?.make music with sense of pleasure and spontaneity?, NACMS is based in NYC, committed to bringing audiences exceptional performances of the finest works of chamber music, drawn from the canon of western music as well as contemporary Asian culture.
May 23 will be joined by pianist Livan, 1st prize winner of the 11th Edvard Grieg International Piano Competition in Norway and Wei-Ping Chou, French Horn player of the San Diego Symphony, each presenting solo works and horn-piano duo.
June 29 features piano trios, performs by The Juilliard School piano faculty Helen Huang, Jasmine Lin, violinist of the Formosa String Quartet, and Ru-pei Yeh, cellist of New York Philharmonic.

Based in New York City, NACMS is committed to bringing audiences exceptional performances of the finest works of chamber music, drawn from the canon of western music as well as contemporary Asian culture. This unusual young collective also seeks to reach out to its technologically-wired peers around the world, through the creation of innovative new work in future partnership with other arts organizations.
