As part of the International Festival of Arts & Ideas in New Haven, Connecticut, the Taiwanese theater company Contemporary Legend Theater (CLT) will present two performances of their unique Peking opera adaptation of King Lear at the University Theatre. King Lear is a solo performance with three acts adapted from Shakespeare?s King Lear. In this solo performance, WU Hsing-Kuo, the Artistic Director of the company, plays ten roles - King Lear, Fool, Dog, Goneril, Regan, Cordelia, Earl of Gloucester, Edmund, Edgar, and Wu Hsing-kuo.
