This release and reading honors Chialun Chang and her first chapbook, One Day We Become Whites, published by No, Dear Magazine and Small Anchor Press (ND/SA). Chialun Chang is a visual artist and writer born in Taipei and now living in NYC. She is recipient of a 2015 Immigrant Artist Mentoring Fellowship from NYFA and a 2016 Emerging Writers Fellowship from Poets House.

No, Dear is a Brooklyn-based poetry journal featuring new local writing loosely centered on a single-word theme. Since 2012, the mission of ND/SA has been to be the publisher of first chapbooks by writers living in New York City. Doing this enables emerging voices to actively participate in the writing community. The writers' chapbooks have received attention from PEN Sound, Brooklyn Congresswoman Laurie Cumbo, and Timeout New York. These publications are as broad and diverse as the voices of the authors.

The evening will feature poetry by Chialun Chang, B.C. Edwards, Krystal Languell, Emily Skillings, and Wendy Xu and will be a partially bilingual evening of poetry by contemporary poets living in New York City.
