“MOC Translation and Publication Grants” call for proposals

  • Date:2016-09-01

Since 2014 the Ministry of Culture, Republic of China (Taiwan), has launched “MOC Translation and Publication Grants” to encourage the publication of translations of Taiwan’s literature, including fiction, non-fiction, picture books and comics, and help Taiwan’s publishing industry to explore non-Chinese international markets.

From 2015 onward the Ministry of Culture “Translation Grant Program” is established to promote Taiwan literature, text and graphics, picture books, comic books, and other publications, expedite international exchanges, and strengthen the international image and visibility of Taiwan. On the other hand, “Books from Taiwan” is a new initiative funded by the Taiwanese Ministry of Culture to introduce fiction and non-fiction to foreign publishers and readers alike. On this website you will find information about authors.

Anyone who is interested in translating and publishing Taiwan literary works is more than welcome to check directions for soliciting grants out at the MOC’s website, beginning from September 1st this year, and continue to introduce Taiwan literature into the international arena.
